There’s Plenty to Do in New Smyrna Beach!
It is summertime, and New Smyrna Beach is the place to be! New Smyrna Beach is a charming seaside town straddled by both the ocean and river. Aside from the obvious array of fishing and boating opportunities, New Smyrna Beach offers a host of cool summertime events!
In July alone, there is so much to do in and around the New Smyrna Beach area. On July 2nd, there is the Art Stroll and Gallery Walk down historic Canal Street with artist exhibitions and live music from talented local musicians. Enjoy some reggae July 7th just outside the Brannon Civic Center. It’s part of the free weekly Summer Concert Series. The second Saturday of each month is East Coast Cruiser Night where street rods, antique cars, food, fun and entertainment are all free. Don’t miss Family Fun Day July 22nd at the Ken Parker Amphitheater in Port Orange with prizes, games and concession stand treats. From July 17 through August 2nd, The Little Theatre presents a performance of The Wizard of Oz.
August is just as jam-packed with fun-filled events. Sample seafood dishes beyond compare, and enjoy live entertainment at the New Smyrna Beach Shrimp and Seafood Festival August 4th on historic Flagler Avenue. Enjoy craft beers August 6th on Canal Street’s Historic Craft Beer Walk. There’s also a Back to School Carnival August 20th at Hawk’s Park in Edgewater with carnival games and food, music, and bike, backpack and school supply give-aways!
