Some of the best fishing Florida has to offer aside, Daytona Beach is absolutely full of engaging events. There’s certainly something for everyone in Daytona Beach! Daytona Beach is even known as the Festival Capital of Florida! Fun-filled festivals, including the Celtic Festival, the Festa Italiana and the Greek Festival, run throughout the year, but let’s just fill you in on what’s left for 2016 alone:
Over 150 musical acts fill 18 stages and 30 artists line Main Street during the Daytona Palooza Music and Art Festival on October 1st. The Daytona Blue Festival is a three-day musical event drawing thousands of Daytona visitors October 7-9. In mid-October each year, Daytona hosts Biketoberfest. Approximately 125,000 motorcyclists ride to Daytona for live music, shows and rallies during this event. Halifax Art Festival, which will be held November 5th and 6th this year, is the second oldest continual festival in Florida. Hundreds of artisans from all over the country will attend. Daytona Beach hosts the Turkey Run November 24th through the 27th featuring thousands of unique autos and swap meet vendors. It’s the largest classic car show in the entire United States!
Events other than our fabulous festivals include the Classic Car Cruise-in the first Saturday of every month. If you are a motor enthusiast, you might also want to take in an event at the infamous Daytona International Speedway, the site of the Daytona 500, the Coke Zero 400, the Daytona 200, the Rolex 24-hour Marathon Race and so much more! The Tortugas, Daytona Beach’s minor league baseball team, makes a hit all summer long. The Bandshell amphitheater at Oceanfront Park holds free concerts all summer long and through October. Visitors can enjoy their choice of jazz, blues, contemporary, folk, big band or Dixieland music.
