The holidays are coming, and there is no better way to celebrate than with a parade…and when it comes to Christmas parades, New Smyrna Beach pulls out all the stops. Prepare to be dazzled by the spectacular sights and sounds of the holiday season!
The theme of this year’s annual New Smyrna Beach Christmas parade will be themed “Candy Canes and Christmas Carols,” and the festivities start at 4 p.m. Saturday, December 3rd. This merry band of seasonal sprites will include marching bands, dance troupes, horses, lavishly decorated floats, carolers belting out classic Christmas tunes, and Santa of course. It will begin at the intersection of Flagler Avenue and South Atlantic and travels the Waterfront Loop along Canal Street’s Historic District.
Where one parade ends, another begins! The 2016 Annual Christmas Boat Parade will follow in Riverside Park at the end of Canal Street as soon as night begins to fall. Christmas lights will sparkle like magic along the New Smyrna Beach waterways; boats of all shapes and sizes will be extravagantly decorated in Christmas regalia; and your favorite Christmas songs will float merrily your way. This magnificent floating holiday display is an incredible event you won’t want to miss, so come out and enjoy the holiday merriment.
