Boating: Good for the Soul

Boating is a restorative tonic for the soul and an excellent elixir for all that ails you. It’s definitely a stress reducer, putting you smack dab in the middle of gentle sea breezes, glorious sunshine and ocean views that just won’t quit. Boating also offers us so many ways to increase and improve our quality family time and numerous scenarios for socializing and camaraderie, not to mention that it is just plain fun!

If you are lucky enough to be a boater owner, you know that there are countless ways to entertain yourself or just simply chill when you have a boat. Some nice ways to relax on a boat are taking a scenic cruise along the Intracoastal Waterway, watching wildlife along the riverbanks on a leisurely boat ride or getting up with the sun to watch the world come alive as you get ready for a quiet, solitary day of fishing.

Or liven the whole boat thing up a bit by adding a few of your best buds to your fishing trip. Keep the good times rolling by boat-hopping to your favorite restaurants and other seaside haunts. If you ask me, there’s nothing better than listening to live music while you sip a margarita waterside. Boats also provide us with an exceptional way to explore this exquisite area.

Dates are more awesome on a boat too. My first date with my husband was a beautiful sunny day spent on his new boat that he topped off by tying off at a seafood restaurant, where we dined on crab claw and u-peels and enjoyed a cocktail or two. I have to give him credit, it was very memorable…all of my time on a boat has been. Come to Gerry’s Marina, a full-service marina with a long-standing esteemed history of putting Central Floridians in top quality boats, and yours will too!
