2017 Events for New Smyrna Beach

Everyone loves a good outing – from a party to a parade. In New Smyrna Beach, we are particularly fond of great events, and what better place to hold them than our charming, beachside town?

After spectacular fireworks in honor of the New Year, New Smyrna Beach will host the 41st Annual Festival of the Arts January 27th through the 29th at Riverview Park and Canal Street. Don’t miss the fabulous art displays by over 230 talented artists, live music, a student art exhibit, a creative education tent, food court and more.

Then, on January 31st, 30 chowder chefs fill both sides of Flagler Avenue to compete in a culinary cook-off during NSB’s Chowder Festival.

And did someone say party and parade? On Fat Tuesday in New Smyrna Beach, Mardi Gras comes complete with a parade and parties of extraordinary proportions! Bust out your best beads because Flagler Avenue will be bursting with great Mardi Gras-themed food and music, and prizes will be awarded for best float, parade marchers and vehicles!

Then there is the NSB Art Fiesta, with more than 250 artisans and crafters, food vendors and live entertainment, February 18-19 at Old Fort Park on Julia Street.

Soulful sounds fill the air for four melodious days during the New Smyrna Beach Blues Festival in May. It’s a time when talented musicians can be heard in many great venues throughout the town.

If you like seafood, you won’t want to miss the Seaside Fiesta in June or New Smyrna Beach’s Annual Shrimp and Seafood Festival in August. Taste great seafood from Volusia’s best restaurants, and enjoy live entertainment.

New Smyrna Beach also holds monthly events, including the Wine Walk – a progressive wine tasting event in which participants can explore over 100 wines within local pubs, restaurants and galleries; and classic car shows beyond compare!
