As we all know, the New Smyrna Beach area is one of the most beautiful places on earth; and when you’re on the water, its majesty only increases. So take a leisurely cruise down the gorgeous shoreline of the Intracoastal Waterway or a short (or long) jaunt up or down the coast to see what fun and beauty await you in other charming seaside towns.
Boating is simply hopping with fun, so hopping is very possibly exactly what you should do! We Central Floridians are fortunate enough to have access to some very cool islands that are just perfect for exploring, picnicking or rustling up a mean game of beach volleyball, Frisbee or cornhole. Some of our local islands are even home to historic ruins which can be an interesting history lesson for your kids or just plain interesting in general!
If you’re not island hopping, why not go restaurant hopping by boat? New Smyrna Beach and the surrounding area are chock-full of waterfront dining options. So pull on up and have yourself a fresh fish Rueben!
Of course, there are always the typical fun things that come to mind when you think of boating – like waterskiing, tubing, fishing, clamming and crabbing. Plus, if you have a boatload of bored kids, there is even geocaching by boat to save the day!
